In my eyes, a successful website attracts visitors and converts them to customers, sales, leads or whatever the primary goal of the website is.

Successful websites don’t happen overnight.

They come from having a clear strategy and building a website that will satisfy both the needs of the user and your business.

TLDR: All Really Good Websites are designed to meet your business goals, each website is as unique as the business it represents.

What type of websites do I build?

The sites I build for clients are focused on supporting their particular sales or marketing objectives.

The primary functionality of these sites are generally:-

  • Lead Generation Sites
  • B2B Marketing / Brochure sites (Sites to promote your businesses products or services)
  • Ecommerce Sites – (WooCommerce and North Commerce)
  • Booking Sites – (courses, classes, restaurants etc)
  • Listing Sites – (Hotels, Care Homes, Affiliate Sites)
  • Hybrid Sites – (A mix of any of the above).
  • Membership Sites – (From clubs and forums to company intranet sites)

What to expect when working with me.

I have been building websites since 1996. I also ran a successful digital marketing and a branding agency for 20 years, you can see examples of my work here.

I am not just about creating pretty websites, I am about creating effective websites for my clients particularly using advances in behavioural economics (mostly cognitive biases) to improve website experiences and performance.

While I can tailor my design and build process to suit your project, generally it runs something like this…

1). DEFINE YOUR EXPECTATIONS FOR YOUR WEBSITE.

What do you want to achieve with your new website? A (typically) half day meeting to discuss your requirements for your new website.

2). UNDERSTAND THE AUDIENCE NEEDS

In the same meeting we will will discuss who the site is targeting and what these visitors are expected to do on your site.

3). DEFINE A STRATEGY FOR YOUR WEBSITE

It is essential for a website to have clearly defined goals and strategies for it to be successful. Before the visuals are created, we will define and agree a strategy together that supports your goals.

4). CREATE INITAL DESIGN CONCEPTS

This is where you get to see what your new site it going to look like and how it will all come together to deliver on the strategy.

5). CREATE / COLLATE CONTENT FOR THE WEBSITE

Websites are mostly words and pictures – it can take a surprising amount of time to collect the content for your new website, I can help you with the written content, I used to be copywriter, and I can help with basic photography, or can help you find someone who will suit your needs and brand style.

6). BUILD YOUR WEBSITE

Design approved? Check. Content collated? Check. It’s time to build your new website. All websites are built with Wordpress and generally feature a ‘drag and drop’ editor making them easier for you to make basic changes.

7). TEST, TRAIN AND GO LIVE

All sites are tested before going live on all current major browsers. We will arrange a training session so you and your team are familiar with how to use your new website AND I will upload ‘how to’ videos into the website dashboard for future reference.
